Apple Pay is coming to the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in January 2019

Apple Pay Australia

Through a tweet made earlier by the Commonwealth Bank of Australia Twitter handler, customers of CommBank with an iPhone will be rejoicing over the new year.

The tweet mentions that Apple Pay is indeed coming to CommBank to personal customers in January 2019, and it’s never too late to join the party.

At the moment from the Big Four banks in Australia, only ANZ supports Apple Pay (since April 2016) and the rest fell silent. But if you are a CommBank customer and an iPhone owner, you do not need to switch bank just to get Apple Pay.

Apple Pay will work on both the iPhone and Apple Watch, which makes it easy to tap and pay without having to take your wallet out of your pants’ pocket or bag.

Fitbit Pay also works very well whether you own an iPhone or Android phone, if you have a Fitbit device that supports it such as the Fitbit Versa, Charge 3, or Ionic smartwatch.
