Apple’s latest Apple TV is now available to order here in Australia (previously available only in the United States). The new gadget costs $269 for 32GB storage and $80 extra ($349) if you want to get the new Apple TV with 64GB of storage.
With better interface and operating system (TvOS), touch-enabled remote control with motion sensing so you can play games by waving the controller around, and apps + Apple Music support, Apple TV 4rd generation (2015) is a beast to have in the living room.
If what you want is just to be able to watch Netflix, or your favorite shows, the new Apple TV might be an overkill. Unless, of course, if you have the money and love Apple products.
Telstra TV is cheaper (RRP $109) and simpler for that purpose, but you do need to be a Telstra BigPond® Broadband customer to be able to use Telstra TV.
You can order the new Apple TV 4rd gen (2015) at the official Apple TV page. Supply seems to be plenty as the page estimates a 3-5 days shipping turnaround.
