I know that Easter has passed but I’m sure you wouldn’t mind to see an Easter bunny throwing a variety of eggs to hold off waves of Zombies, would you? Bunny the Zombie Slayer is a good game on your iPhone to play if you want a short burst of fun. The idea is to hold off waves of incoming Zombies from eating the brains of the kids you are protecting. Of course, there is no such reference but what else do the Zombies want? Definitely not playing toys with the kids!
You don’t exactly control the bunny directly but on the aiming instead (projectiles). Instead of bullets or stones, the bunny throws endless eggs from a basket. The eggs are varied and there is no way to control what kind of egg you’ll be getting on each throw (some eggs can slow the enemies down, etc). If you land an egg on the Zombie’s head, most of the times it will score a perfect one shit kill. Hit their legs and they will crawl slowly to the kids.
The aiming is not bad and the thrown egg automatically picks a lane where a Zombie is at (the game has 3 lanes in total), making the game a little bit easier and accessible. The zombies are varied although they don’t seem to act differently. The graphic is overall gorgeous to look at.
However, the game gets hard pretty quick when there are 3-5 zombies coming in at the same time. Great aimers will manage, assuming that they can spam the eggs non-stop. Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait for 1-2 seconds before you can throw the next egg. This makes the game ends pretty quickly after certain waves.
There is a special attack that you can perform which will kill all the zombies on-screen and also a slow-motion effect when a Zombie gets too close, but these may not be enough to let you play the game for too long.
Bunny the Zombie Slayer is no Plants vs Zombies but if you want a short burst of fun killing zombies for a cheaper price, then this is a game that you might want to pick up. However, the game will not last long so don’t expect the fun to last for more than 10 or 15 minutes. If the game has some role playing, it would be an awesome game though and would definitely be a Plants vs Zombies alternative game.
