At CES 2019, Edifier announced 3 new, cutting edge wireless speakers and headphones that will send your ears to heaven.
We’ve reviewed quite a few speakers from Edifier here at Craving Tech such as the Edifier Spinnaker (which I hook up to my 75″ TV at the moment) and also the Luna Eclipse. Their design and sound quality are definitely on point, and a feast to both my eyes and ears.
So let’s check out their new products announcements this year.
Edifier S3000Pro Active 2.0 Wireless Monitor Speakers
Edifier’s new speaker, the S3000Pro Active 2.0 Wireless Monitor Speakers, are the first 2.0 wireless monitor speakers that boast 256 watt total RMS to rock your world. Who says luxurious sound is bound to be wired?
The new speaker even gets a Certified HiRes sound, which should make many audiophiles happy. Your favourite tunes can be played straight from your smartphone via Bluetooth [aptX HD], but there are also wired options to connect your other devices.
Connections include USB, optical, coaxial, auxiliary, balanced inputs, XMOS xCore200 interface that supports USB audio bitrate up to 192KHz, high-efficiency Class D digital power amplification, and XLR Balanced input and RCA line-in jack.
Edifier S3000Pro might sound similar to the AudioEngine A5+ we reviewed here at Craving Tech, but S3000Pro seems to outperform the A5+ in terms of power output (256 watt vs 150 watt).
Edifier TWS2
By utilising Bluetooth 5.0, Edifier TWS2 earbuds have a higher transfer rate and more stable connection compared to the older Bluetooth technology.
The TWS2 is Edifier’s first true wireless in-ear headphones with a 3-hour music playback time, but the packaging includes a charging case that can further provide a 9 hours playback time.
It has an IPX4 splash resistance rating which makes it perfect for exercising outdoor. While 3 hours may not sound much, you do get the high sound quality compared to earphones that provide longer battery life in exchange for a poorer sound quality.
Edifier W860NB Headphones
The W860NB comes with an Active Noise Cancelling to keep you immersed in your music. With up to 25 hours of music listening while offering wireless connectivity, travelling by plane should be a breeze with it.
And should you happen to run out of battery, there is also a wired mode for versatility.
The headphones have a minimalistic controls design with Smart Touch capabilities to control calls and music playback with just a simple touch.
They are all will be available in Q1 2019 but no exact pricing has been announced at this stage.
