Ferrari G150 earphones review – If you think Ferrari is all about classy, sporty, and speedy cars, then you are wrong. Logic3, a company based in the UK, has been working together with Ferrari to design, manufacture, and deliver portable audio products that mimic the meticulous design & high performance of Ferrari cars.

The Ferrari G150 earphones is a part of the Ferrari Cavallino collection with a mix of leather and metal materials. If you are the type who cares about the little things in earphones, then you are up for a treat with the G150. From far, it looks just like an ordinary earphones. Taking a closer look, however, you’ll realise how much work have been put into the design. The earphones scream of luxury from any angles.

It also features Ferrari’s popular Prancing Horse or the “Cavallino Rampante”. The horse is embossed onto the back of the earphones and adds plenty of aesthetics value to the G150.

The earphones are definitely not the lightest earphones I’ve ever tested/reviewed and not the most compact earphones. If only they can be made thinner, then it would have been perfect, in my opinion.

The cable’s material is of woven fabric, anti-tangled. There is also a 1-button remote control with microphone which according to Logic3, works for most smartphones in the market (iOS, BlackBerry, Android, Windows Phone). I only tested the earphones on my iPhone 5 and it works really well to play/pause the currently playing track (though the product page does not seem to mention a compatibility for iOS devices). There are no volume and other playback controls to be seen unfortunately.

The G150 is powered by 10mm drivers with patented Thin Film Acoustic Technology (TFAT). Upon listening to a variety of music genre, I find that the G150 outputs strong powerful bass (without empowering the other channels) with high clarity sound.  I can clearly hear all the instruments played in a song, even to the tiniest details. It’s amazing.

I was a bit disappointed at first of the sound quality but this was because I put in the wrong ear bud size. Normally, I’d always use the smallest ear bud size every time I wear earphones. On the G150, however, I found that the medium size fits much better into my ear canals and the sound then becomes better by, like, tenfold.

The earbuds give great amount of passive noise isolation so you may want to reduce the volume a little bit if you still want to hear your surroundings (for safety reasons). Or completely shut the noise off around you when you need to study (while listening to instrumental or easy-listening songs). Your choice. The noise isolation of the G150 is superb.

There are plenty of earbuds size and types to choose from – you can find the ones that fit your style the most.

The packaging also comes with a really nice pouch to carry the earphones with you. The hard pouch is also of high quality and features the same Cavallino Rampante embossed on the surface.

The Ferrari G150 screams of quality in terms of design, material used, and sound output. If you are a fan of Ferrari or love having earphones with luxurious feel, the G150 shouldn’t disappoint you.
