If you are using LastPass (you should) and getting frustrated with Firefox freezes and crashes, it is most probably caused by the LastPass extension. No, it’s not caused by the page you are on, as much as you suspect it to be. Well, it can, but try removing the LastPass extension (by refreshing Firefox or forcing it to go to SafeMode with 0 extensions/add-ons present) and see if the freezes stop.
After some Googling around (can’t remember where I got this solution, I think it’s on the LastPass’ forum), I found the fix by installing LastPass extension from LastPass’ official website a LastPass’ forum thread, and NOT on Firefox Add-Ons page.
I have the LastPass v3.1.92 .xpi file here if you want to install it straight to your Firefox, or if your version is still crashing and freezing the Mozilla Firefox browser. This is the forum thread where I got the information and separate LastPass .xpi file from to fix the Firefox freezes.
It can also be caused by one of your Firefox extensions.
