Hisense CanvasTV: Samsung’s The Frame Has a Fierce Competition

Hisense Australia has unveiled its latest innovation in home entertainment: the CanvasTV. This groundbreaking device seamlessly merges art and technology, offering a fresh perspective on what a television can be in modern Australian homes.

The CanvasTV is more than just a telly; it’s a versatile centrepiece that adapts to your lifestyle and decor. With its sleek design, advanced features, and interchangeable frames, this new offering from Hisense transforms your living space into a dynamic gallery.

At the heart of the CanvasTV is its immersive Art Mode. With over 1,000 pre-loaded masterpieces spanning various artistic styles, your walls can showcase a curated collection of abstract, modern, and renaissance works. But it doesn’t stop there – you can also upload your own images, turning cherished memories into stunning displays. A simple press of the remote’s power button activates Art Mode, allowing you to effortlessly switch between iconic artworks and personal photographs.

In Art Mode, it employs power-saving capabilities that automatically adjust brightness and utilise a light sensor to minimise energy consumption. The motion sensor feature further optimises energy usage by detecting when viewers are present and turning off the screen when the room is empty.

Looks like when it comes to visual performance, the CanvasTV doesn’t disappoint. Its 4K QLED display with Quantum Dot Colour technology delivers over a billion shades of vibrant, lifelike colour. The Hi-Matte anti-glare display ensures clarity and vibrancy unaffected by ambient light, mirroring the depth and texture of real paintings. With a 144 Hz refresh rate, viewers can expect silky-smooth motion across all content types.

Audio hasn’t been overlooked either. The CanvasTV boasts a multi-channel 2.0.2 surround sound system that envelopes audiences in rich, resonant audio, whether they’re watching films, gaming, or listening to music.

Each unit comes with a sophisticated teak frame, and consumers can redeem an additional frame in either white or walnut at no extra cost by registering their product with Hisense. This StyleSwap Frame feature allows users to change the frame to match their decor, truly making the CanvasTV their own.

The CanvasTV will feature the latest iteration of Hisense’s smart operating system, VIDAA U8. This interface integrates popular streaming apps like Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+, and more, making it easy to access your favourite content.

Available in late September at select Australian retailers, the CanvasTV from Hisense will be offered in two sizes: a 55-inch model priced at A$1,799 and a 65-inch model at A$2,299.
