It has been a while since we have received a major release on Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc), with the latest version being Office 2013. After years of development, Microsoft has officially released Office 2016 to the public.
For Office 365 subscribers, all you have to do is to log on to your account at Microsoft Office site, download the installation file, and install the whole product suite to your computer.
The interface change may not seem much, but Microsoft focuses more on the engine and what’s inside, specifically to enhance team collaboration. There are also additional new features and improvements on the individual products and also with Windows 10 (Cortana, etc).
