Do you have one of the Nanoleaf lights at home? Good on you. If not, make sure to check our review on the Nanoleaf Essentials Lightstrip, Bulbs, and Nanoleaf Canvas. The Nanoleaf lights don’t require a separate smart hub to purchase and it’d work right away with your current wireless router.
And then there is another good news. Thread over HomeKit support is coming soon (Q1, 2022).
The new update will allow their Thread Border Routers (Nanoleaf Shapes, Elements and Lines) to work with all Thread over HomeKit devices including the Nanoleaf Essentials I mentioned above – but also Apple TV 4K and multiple Eve smart home products.
If you don’t really understand what Thread is, it basically offers a stronger, more stable smart home as Thread-enabled smart home devices can work together to extend the network in a nutshell, giving a more reliable experience.
Nanoleaf is also the first company after Apple, to open up Thread Border Routing to all Thread over HomeKit devices.
