Panasonic Unveils Game-Changing Palm-Sized Shavers

Panasonic has introduced its groundbreaking 5-blade palm-sized shavers, set to transform the grooming landscape. These innovative devices, the ES-PV6 and ES-PV3, blend cutting-edge technology with minimalist Japanese design, offering a luxurious shaving experience that fits comfortably in the palm of your hand.

The new shavers represent a significant leap in shaver technology. By ingeniously relocating the linear motor to the shaver head, Panasonic has eliminated the traditional handle, resulting in a world-first curved shape that feels natural to hold and manoeuvre. This sleek design not only looks stunning in any bathroom but also provides unparalleled portability for grooming on the go.

At the heart of these shavers lies Panasonic’s renowned shaving technology. The five Japanese stainless-steel blades, coupled with 70,000 cutting actions per minute and a responsive beard sensor, ensure a fast, close, and effortless shave. The shavers glide smoothly across facial contours, providing precision and control at your fingertips.

The ES-PV6, available in Marble White, showcases a unique finish crafted from NAGORI material, derived from ocean minerals. This eco-conscious choice results in a one-of-a-kind pattern for each shaver. For those preferring a more classic look, the ES-PV3 comes in a timeless Matte Black.

These shavers boast an impressive array of features. The advanced mag-lev technology powers the ultra-fast linear motor, maintaining consistent speed even when tackling thick beards or running low on battery. The blades, sharpened to 30 degrees, cut hair close to the root for a smooth, irritation-free shave, whether used wet or dry.

The Responsive Beard Sensor Technology adapts power 233 times per second to suit facial contours and hair density, boosting power in thicker areas and reducing it in sparser regions to prevent skin irritation. With IPX7 full-body waterproofing, these shavers can be used with gel, foam, or even in the shower.

Practicality hasn’t been overlooked either. The shavers feature seamless USB-C charging and come with a handy portable case, making them perfect for travel or touch-ups on busy days.

Available exclusively at Shaver Shop stores, the ES-PV6 in NAGORI White retails at A$799, while the ES-PV3 in Matte Black is priced at A$699. Both models are set to hit the shelves in October 2024.

I still think having a handle makes it easier to manoeuvre but it’s had to judge until you try it out and if utilising this design gives it a closer shave, than that’s all we want. Make sure to check out my review on their S9000 Prestige electric shaver as well while you’re here.
