Sure, we are all happy and excited with the range of Android smartphones in the market. We anticipate the next, the better (and bigger screen) from our favorite Android phone manufacturers.
Unfortunately, not everyone can afford them, even if an Android smartphone’s price is generally much lower than an iPhone.
Well, there is always an alternative. Pantech, founded in 1991, introduces an Android phone that can compete with the current market, at a fraction of a price.
Pantech Discover seems to have it all as a mid-to-high end smartphone – powered by 1.5GHz dual-core, a large 4.8″ screen (1280 x 720 pixels in resolution), a 12.6 Megapixels rear camera, 4G LTE, NFC support, and even a dual 3D surround sound speakers.
It also has a built-in LED flash should you need to capture your moment in a low lit environment. There is also a front camera (2 Megapixels) for you to chat with your loved ones via Skype, Fring, or Viber. On the larger screen, viewing the photos you took should be an enjoyable experience.
The Pantech Discover houses a 2,100 mAh Lithium Ion battery and claims to have up to 430 hours in standby mode.
The phone is available at AT&T in the U.S for $49, which can save you up to $150 (compared to the other Android phones) and perfect if you want to jump ship to Android without having to pay premium.
