PAX Aus 2023, in honour of its 10th anniversary, has unveiled an exceptional lineup of speakers, special guests, and exclusive content. This year’s event promises to be an unforgettable celebration for gamers and enthusiasts.
Kicking off the event in style, Erika Ishii, a renowned actor and voice-over artist known for her roles in popular games like Apex Legends and Destiny 2, will be the Storytime speaker. Erika has an impressive portfolio of work in the gaming industry, including titles like Halo Infinite, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Cyberpunk 2077. Her Storytime session will take place on Friday, October 6th at 12:00 pm in the main theatre.
One of the most exciting highlights is the return of Summerfall Studios, creators of Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical (formerly known as Chorus). They will share secrets, stories, music, and myths with the audience, promising a captivating experience.
Prepare to be thrilled as actor Ben Prendergast, known for lending his voice to games like Apex Legends and God of War: Ragnarok, makes an appearance. Joining him is the dynamic Jenny Yokobori, an acclaimed voice actress who has contributed her talents to numerous animated series and video games.
Music enthusiasts are in for a treat at this year’s PAX Aus concert featuring The Consouls, a Sydney-based ensemble known for their jazz arrangements of iconic video game music. Having recently contributed to the soundtrack of ‘Advance Wars 1+2 Re-boot Camp,’ their performance promises to be unforgettable.
For those with a taste for comedy, PAX Aus presents the return of Mr. John Robinson, a multifaceted entertainer known for his Twitch series, The Dark Room. Get ready for a dose of laughter and entertainment.
Twitch gaming variety show Back Pocket is also making an appearance at PAX Aus, offering an interactive extravaganza with Stephanie “Hex” Bendixsen, Gus “Goose” Ronald, and their team. They will also be present at the PAX Rising booths throughout the weekend.
The gaming community will be delighted to see Devolver Digital presenting an exclusive ‘first look’ showcase of their title, Plucky Squire, presented by the Brisbane-based Creative Director, Jonathan Biddle.
