I reviewed the original Razer Leviathan back in 2016 – a 5.1 Channel Surround PC Soundbar from Razer, designed specifically for gaming. Years have passed now and we’re quite surprised to see that it’s making a comeback with bigger and better technology!
Razer Leviathan V2 is Razer’s take on the upgraded Leviathan, powered by two full-range drivers, two passive radiators, two tweeters, and a down-firing subwoofer – plus THX Spatial Audio technology. Leviathan V2 is the first gaming soundbar to offer THX Spatial Audio.
Having the THX Spatial Audio means you can experience a 7.1 surround sound that gives you a more realistic and detailed soundstage – which will elevate your movie watching and gaming experience. But it also works with music, giving you a really nice, wide soundstage that feels like you are surrounded by musical instruments in a live concert.
You’ll use the Leviathan V2 on the PC, but it is also equipped with Bluetooth 5.2 so you can also connect it to your mobile phone. You can either enjoy mobile gaming through Bluetooth 5.2 low latency, or when you want to just chill and listen to music. Have a Nintendo Switch? It’ll work with that too.
For the PC, you can connect the Leviathan V2 via USB.
I like how the controls are located on the top of the soundbar so they are always easy to reach anytime.
And of course, it is also powered by Razer Chroma RGB with 18 lighting zones and fully customisable through Razer Synapse, creating a nice, cool underglow on your desk.
Razer Leviathan V2 retails for AU$409.95 and is available now for purchase.
