Yes, that Bentley car. We’ve seen what would happen when car engineers & designers collaborate with non-automotive brands in the past. For example back in 2013, I reviewed a gaming mouse from Thermaltake with the BMW design team with a really cool design, and we also know OPPO collaborates with Lamborgini in creating a really cool, OPPO Find X2 Pro Automobili Lamborghini Edition.
In a more recent design collaboration, Bentley gets together with two premium, audio brands: Naim Audio and Focal. I haven’t had any experience with Naim Audio products before but the Focal Chora 806 audiophile bookshelf speakers are still sitting next to our living room TV and still our favourite (make sure to check my review out).
The collaboration between these 3 brands has produced two premium audio products: Naim Mu-so for Bentley Special Edition wireless speaker system, and Focal for Bentley Radiance headphones. The colour accents directly reference interior and exterior styling aspects of the Bentley Mulliner Bacalar, whereas a recurring lattice pattern on both products is inspired by Bentley’s iconic diamond seat quilting.
Naim Mu-so for Bentley Special Edition
Based on Naim Mu-so 2nd Generation, the special edition is a wireless speaker system that offers authentic audio expertise blended with the latest music-streaming technology, exquisite build quality, delightful usability and even the ability to transform TV sound.
It’s the first ever Naim Mu-so to feature a wooden finish, crafted from African hardwood called Ayous. There is also a signature Bentley lattice design surrounding the tactile volume dial, which illuminates to the users touch.
Focal for Bentley Radiance
Created, developed and made in France, the Radiance headphones are a closed-back design that incorporate a combination of the best Focal technologies and high-quality materials.
Focal for Bentley Radiance headphones comes with a bespoke carry case included in the packaging, finished in the same woven material featured on the speaker grille of the Naim Mu-so for Bentley Special Edition.
You’ll also find Bentley styling touches showcased on the earcups, the cable connections and on the underside of their sumptuous padded headband.
Naim Mu-so for Bentley Special Edition and Focal for Bentley Radiance will be available from October via BusiSoft AV (and its authorized dealers) and Bentley retailers, and direct from Focal, Naim and Bentley web stores. Retail pricing will be AUD$3,700 for the Naim Mu-so for Bentley Special Edition, and AUD$2,000 for the Focal for Bentley Radiance; limited stock available.
