Woolworths Australia is announcing its own telecommunication service (Pre-Paid service) today, ready to launch on the 15th of June 2015.
Woolworths Connect customers will be able to pick one from two available Pre-Paid mobile offers, at $30 and $45 (or the discounted $27 and $40.50 for Woolworths Everyday Rewards customers).
Woolworths Connect will be utilising Telstra’s network, which is great, but customers will only be connected to its 3G network even if your smartphone is capable of running in 4G.
So, what will you get for the value?
For $30 (or the discounted $27):
- $650 worth of standard calls (national calls) at 90 cents/minute call rate.
- Unlimited calls between Woolworths Connect customers within Australia
- Unlimited SMS
- 1.5GB data (plus a 1GB bonus data until 31 July 2015 on 1st recharge)
For $45 (or the discounted $40.50):
- A whopping $1,500 worth of standard calls (national calls) at 90 cents/minute call rate.
- Unlimited calls between Woolworths Connect customers within Australia
- Unlimited SMS
- 3.5GB data
Woolworths Connect sim pack ($2 cost) and recharge vouchers will be available at participating Big W, Woolworths, and Woolworths Caltex Petrol sites starting from June 15.
Overall a good value if you are not a heavy internet users who constantly require the 4G/LTE lightning speed for music and movie streaming.
